Ron Anderson has always been a trend setter. After
attending Ohio State University, Ron entered the field of optometry. Ron’s
entrepreneurial spirit became evident when he developed and obtained patents
for two contact lens cleaners which were approved by the FDA and still
on the market today. His credits also include co-inventing the only contact
lens cleaning method ever approved by Medicare.
With his success in the medical field, Ron acquired
a passion for exotic cars. He began importing and exporting automobiles
made by exclusive companies like Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Aston Martin
for buyers, like himself with distinctive tastes. One of his first high
profile clients was Sylvester Stallone who challenged Ron to design and
build a custom bus that could meet his unique taste. After the success
of his first custom coach for Mr. Stallone, Ron decided to pursue others
desiring custom high end buses.
In 1987 Ron created Star Trax Celebrity Coaches which was the premier
custom coach maker. His impressive list of clients include Will Smith,
Vin Diesel, Brad Pitt, Jim Carrey, Denzel Washington, Harrison Ford, Adam
Sandler, Ice Cube , Charlie Sheen, Sylvester Stallone, Whitney Houston,
Richard Gere, Jennifer Lopez, Sharon Stone, Penny Marshall, Micky Rourke,
Shakira, New Kids on the Block, Clint Black, Oscar De La Hoya, and President
Bill Clinton.
In July 1999, Ron decided to sell Star Trax Celebrity Coaches and took
a year off to sail around the globe with his wife and two kids. While
at sea, Ron finalized the concept of a two story retractable mobile star
trailer to be equipped with “yacht like” qualities for A-list
working celebrities. Upon returning to the United States, Ron created
Anderson Mobile Estates to develop his two-story trailer concept. Ron
obtained the patents for his design and built the prototype, which he
later sold to Actor Will Smith.
Will Smith’s Anderson Mobile Estate has been featured numerous times
on primetime television shows such as Access Hollywood, Extra, Entertainment
Tonight, AutomotiveVision.TV and KTLA NEWS as well as featured in print
in People Magazine, Playboy, Star Magazine, Entertainment Weekly and newyorkpost.com.
